January 2009 - Proves to be a great sales month.
Written on Tuesday 10th February 2009
Since moving to our new office on the 1st November 2008 we have gone from strength to strength. In the last month we have sold 18 properties and February has got off to a flying start with the office receiving offers every day, with 7 sales so far and potentially another 4 sales to tie up this week. (10.02.09)
Although the market is still tough, if you are prepared to work hard you can still achieve good sales figures.
The best way to deal with this market is to try different ideas to get people moving, for example, if you have a motivated vendor and a correctly priced property you have a good chance. At Sedge we have organized home swaps, part exchanges, and "Perfect Mover" chain breaking schemes to get our vendors moving.
Anyone wanting to move up market at this time will find they could be better off financially moving now rather than waiting for the market to improve. We have also dealt with clients needing to release equity in their homes because finances are tight or even being worried about being repossessed. Sometimes there are solutions so you should always call us for advice.
